Fleece Foot Wonders!

I never knew how much I loved boots until I came to college. The unpredictable and often painful weather conditions can be very traumatic for our poor feet. This is precisely why we need to focus on footwear in the winter, especially when you have a lot of sidewalk to cover. Unless, of course, you like the prospect of calluses and bunions in your future. I hear they rock!

We students need to focus on footwear, unless (of course) you like the prospect of calluses and bunions in your future. I hear they rock!

There are many types of boots, as we all know. However, my new favorites are rain boots. I honestly had no idea they could be worn for snow-repellant purposes!

They are perfect for remaining balanced and having good traction when the ground is at its most slippery, and trekking through snow is no biggie for these boot wonders. Also, they allow one to express their personality via shoe. Who cannot love that?!

The only problem lies in the insulation of the ever so lovely rain boots. Most are not made for warmth. They focus on simply being waterproof. But have no fear! The students of Ohio University are here.

I have been nothing short of pleasantly surprised each day I step outside. The student population at OU has not only embraced winter, but has simultaneously found a fabulous way to do it. I have never before been so fashionably inspired in these dead months.

Where there are rain boots in the winter, there are now rain boot socks to go with them. It has become matter of fact around campus. It is the ultimate and perfect solution. It transforms normal (and typically spring or fall type) boots into winter wonders for your feet.

The best part? They are removable! And, you can get all types, colors, and patterns depending on your taste, or more importantly, your outfit.

I personally was struggling today with a lack of leg warmers while wearing my rain boots, but I chose to suffer silently (okay, not so silently) for my dear friend, fashion.

Sad Feet :-(

Then, fate decided to jump in and provide me with a cost efficient solution. The most warm and soft fleece linings for my rain boots. They come in black or hot pink at Follet’s University Bookstore on 63 South Court Street.

The moment I placed them on my feet, I was in my own personal foot-phoria. Not only did they manage to effortlessly defrost my feet, but they looked absolutely fabulous folded over my black and white houndstooth rain boots.

Needless to say, this fab-find made my day. And, my feet feel a whole lot warmer.

Oh yes. I almost forgot, they are only $10!!! Act fast folks. This offer will not last long!

Happy Feet :-)
